Making a Difference

At Twin Falls Sewing Center we feel a strong commitment to our community. A healthy community means healthy business, so the goals are intertwined. Below are ways our clubs and classes, employees and customers, have come together to make a difference in our community.

Community Service Project: THE SAWTOOTH RELAY

Twin Falls Sewing Center sponsored, supported and participated in the Sawtooth Relay 2011. Our team was the ZIG ZAGGERS and we did just that as we made the 72.5 mile trek from Stanley to Ketchum, Idaho. The Relay benefits charities which include the PKD Foundation and the Idaho Donor Network.

The PKD Foundation is dedicated to educating people about, and funding research for, the treatment and cure of polycystic kidney disease. PKD affects 600,000 Americans and 12.5 million people worldwide making it the most common life-threatening genetic disease. It is two times more common that multiple sclerosis and 20 times more common than cystic fibrosis

Our team was made up of Larry & Darla Himple (store owners), Amanda Himple (their daughter), Joe & Shawna Getty, and Connie Lancaster. A great time was had by all and supported a worthy cause.
